Overview

IT Project Manager

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality while ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering technology projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. 

Responsibilities

  1. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  2. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets that are aligned with project goals and objectives
  3. Manage project execution to ensure that project milestones are met, and deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  4. Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop contingency plans as necessary
  5. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders
  6. Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget
  7. Monitor and report on project process and status to stakeholders and senior management
  8. Manage project change requests and ensure that they are reviewed, approved, and implemented in a timely manner
  9. Ensure that project documentation is complete, up-to-date, and easily accessible to project team members and stakeholders
  10. Facilitate post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices and apply them to future projects
  11. Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner; follow all Safety Guidelines
  12. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. In the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in an IT role, where a number of years, certifications and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement.

 

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects
  • PMI/PMP certification or equivalent is preferred
  • Experience in managing projects for software applications and IT infrastructure implementations desirable
  • Experience with enterprise applications; E-commerce, ERP, CRM, WMS, Manufacturing, Supply Chain system experience is preferred
  • Strong business process and technical acumen; able to translate business challenges into scalable technology-based solutions
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on business objectives and stakeholder needs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen and E-verify
