Overview

The Fall Protection Manager will be responsible for planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision-making to attain or exceed desired profit-making results for the Fall Protection Division

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for administering company policies and directing and coordinating all Fall Protection department activities to meet business and profitability growth objectives
2. Responsible for the review of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress towards given goals and objectives
3. Responsible for team member needs and changes within the Division
4. Responsible for the training and mentoring of team members in the Fall Protection Division on management philosophies, techniques, leadership and routine policies and procedures
5. Responsible for directing, leading and managing the sales of the Division and working in cooperation with the product sales force and marketing department to maximize growth potential and profit contributions
6. Review financials, sales and activity reports, and other KPI data to measure productivity and achievement
7. Actively participate in feedback sessions and performance evaluations of team members
8. Participates in weekly and monthly management meetings to review status of the business
9. Develop a succession plan with a direct communication strategy to ensure continuity throughout the Division
10. Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner; follow all Safety Guidelines
11. Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Industrial Engineering or related discipline is preferred; in the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in a management role in a manufacturing facility, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement


Experience & Skills:
• Extensive operations leadership experience, preferably in the fall protection industry
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to identify bottlenecks and determine effective solutions
• Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and tracking and KPI
• Ability to identify cost savings strategies and implement promptly and effectively
• Requires solid written and verbal communication skills (Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization)
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Strong analytical, conceptual and planning skills are required
• Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen and E-verify

 

Travel
Travel for this position is around 25%
