Overview

In this revenue producing role you will Lead and manage the strategy for the Training Business Unit, develop/manage/facilitate Mazzella Companies’ customer training sessions whose goal is to market mandatory technical training to customers and develop our Sales team’s product acumen. Your effective learning solutions will align with Sales’ unit strategies and help instill confidence and comfort in our customers’ technical performance.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:
1. Serve as the primary process owner of how Mazzella positions Customer Training and manage the Customer Trainers in support of capability needs analysis and capability development.
2. Plans, organizes, facilitates, and administers customer training events that help instill confidence in technical functions for our customers and sale teams.
3. Conduct bi-weekly 1:1 coaching sessions with Customer Trainers, annual personnel reviews, and resource planning in collaboration with the EVP of Sales.
4. Be a safety ambassador who demonstrates safe work habits/promotes safety education.
5. Assist in the creation/updating of instructional materials including learning objectives and assessments.
6. Make recommendations regarding class design and communicate session roadblocks, sales opportunities, and successes.
7. Remain current on industry, OSHA, and ASME standards.
8. Maintain training records/learning assets and communicate learner opportunities to customer site contact.
9. Creates strategies that help enhance learner performance and remain current with facilitation/adult learning trends.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Trade School certificate also accepted.

 

Experience & Skills
• Demonstrated 3 – 5 years’ experience managing, coaching, and developing teams.
• A minimum of 2 – 5 years’ facilitating classes and developing curriculums.
• Proven written/oral communication skills and an understanding of various learning styles.
• Experience developing effective quality training programs and classroom facilitation in an industrial environment.
• Experience in construction/industrial environments and have a foundational mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to write/edit/proofread effective instructional materials/facilitator guides.
• Proven attention to detail, organization, and able to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a results-oriented manner.
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify.

 

Preferred
• Foundational lifting and rigging industry technology literacy.
• Experience in managing innovative technical learning programs.
• Experience working with video conference and collaboration applications.
• Knowledge of adult learning assessment and evaluation methodologies.

 

Travel

Travel will be approximately 75%.
