  • Overview

    The Office 365 Support Specialist, as part of the IT team, works with the IT team and multiple departmental teams to design, implement, and maintain various Office 365 products.  Currently deployed Office 365 products include Active Directory Sync to Azure AD, Exchange Online, and Teams.  Future technologies will include SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, and Flow.  These products will be the primary focus for this position.

    Responsibilities

    1. Administration, support, and configuration of Office 365 products
    2. Manage, monitor and maintain Office 365 products and the overall structure, standards, and policies of the Office 365 tenant
    3. Champion the adoption of Office 365
    4. Assist with managing configurations of Teams sites and channels
    5. Help in the adoption, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint
    6. Assist users, departments, and business units with configuring and managing OneDrive and SharePoint content
    7. Train and educate end-users on Office 365 capabilities
    8. Troubleshoot and resolve Office 365 system and end user issues
    9. Participate in and carry out project work with well-defined task
    10. Provide and excellent customer service experience with the ability to present solutions in a user-friendly language to team members as well as to non-technical staff
    11. Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education

    • A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in information technology, or related discipline. 
    • In the absence of a degree, 2-4 years of with relevant IT support and/or Office 365 experience is preferred.

    Experience & Skills

    • 2-4 years’ experience in the computer operations, help desk, or IT support areas doing similar work as duties outlined above
    • Knowledge of Office 365 administration functions and framework
    • Specific knowledge of Office 365 Teams and SharePoint a plus
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and its interaction with Active Directory
    • Detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
    • Demonstrated ability with trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
    • Experience working with a variety of levels of personnel and users with varied computer experience
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • Must successfully complete drug screen, physical and E-Verify
